# Managing Periodic Maintenance

Moving from reactive to periodic maintenance requires a proper maintenance plan per asset. The periodic maintenance part of the Ynteq CMMS helps you to design & implement your periodic maintenance plan. This helps you to stop fire-fighting and get in the driver-seat of your maintenance activities.

## Creating a schedule

In the Periodic Mainenance overview you can create a new schedule to click on the blue button in the top right corner.

A schedule is nothing more than a recurring work order, and therefore the fields in this form are the same. The difference is in adding the recurrence. There are options for the repetition, every day, week, month and year, and also possibilities in duration of this repetition.

## Overview

In the overview you can see all work-order schedules that you have created per asset. These schedules ensure that you are in-control of your maintenance.

It is also possible to edit (or delete) a periodic maintenance schedule. In the current state of Ynteq this will result in permanently deleting all associated work orders and related data. Be aware of this.
